It should have taken only four years but it took me five. I was studying and working for my last year, the college were very good to me and allowed me to split fourth year in two. I did half tyhe subjects and exams the first year and the other the second. It was hard going cause I was missing class when I was in work but my friends helped me loads by giving me their notes

Great question. There are 2 levels of engineering. Once you finish university with a qualification and start working in an engineering job you are an engineer. But. It’s takes another 5 years at least to become a chartered engineer.
