Question: do you find it hard or easy on a daily basis being an engineer?

I definitely wouldn’t call it hard and I genuinely like going into work every morning. But I wouldn’t call it easy either, it can be challenging because you are working on new projects/products ideas, so different “problems” are always popping up. This really keeps things interesting, and when you find a solution to something or develop something new it is so rewarding! It what I love most about engineering.

When I was in school I knew I wanted to an engineer, but did worry sometimes (even in college) that it might be too hard for me when I was out working. Now that I’m working its nothing like that – I work with loads of great people who are always willing to help out if I don’t understand something – no one is an expert in everything. You have to ask questions, listen and understand and then try to develop solutions/ideas from all this information you get. I really wouldn’t change it for any other career!
