Catherine Conaghan answered on 19 Nov 2014:

Hey Louise, yes there certainly is! I actually work with people in similar jobs on projects all over Europe. At the moment I’m working with people from Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, Finland, Serbia, Romania, UK and a few more. As energy is slightly cheaper in the USA the demand isn’t as high, but I would still be very confident of getting a job over there if I wanted to. There are loads of opportunities for engineers in Australia and New Zealand. The great thing about engineering is that you don’t need to have additional qualifications to work in any other country, like you do for some jobs e.g. Doctor, Nurse, Teacher. Hope that answers your question! 🙂
