Of course, it is such a huge achievement for all involved and something that will go down in history. 10 years work went into what happened yesterday – I can’t even imagine the excitement and relieve all those engineers that worked on it experienced when it landed!

I was glued to it. I love all things space. It was pretty cool that part of it was made in Maynooth and maybe I’m a bit biased but one of the lander engineers is from my hometown of Mullingar, Laurence O’Rourke. If I had the chance, I’d totally go into space. This mission was so important for the future of humans and space travel. It’s mad to think it left about 10 years ago to start it’s incredible journey. Think of the technology back then and how it had to last in the harsh environment of space and how if anything broke, it couldn’t be repaired. It’s amazing!
