Its fantastic being an engineer. Every day is full of exciting opportunities.
What I like most is figuring out problems with connecting wind farms or new data centres and trying to get a working solution. Its challenging and rewarding.
Gives you a smile on the way home every day after making a difference.

I do like my job a lot, it can be very challenging sometimes but finding a solution gives me great satisfaction.

I love being an engineer, it’s challenging and interesting and there is never a dull day. My job is great really – I get to work on exciting new projects that make a positive difference and get to travel all over Europe doing it!

I think its pretty good fun

we get to go on boats, jetskis, helicopters, planes. We get to play with really expensive toys.. (I was in charge of a $20 million plant for example)
We get to travel… I have been on every continent thanks to my career… oh and we always get to meet new and interesting people.

And yes I like my job

I love being an engineer. I get to hack things together down in the lab. It can be hard because there are times when I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, so I go and talk to people who can help. Eventually I end up with a solution to a problem that no one else has solved (although sometimes they have and I only realise afterwards). Then I get to travel to conferences and tell everyone what I’ve done. It’s pretty cool when someone comes to you for help because they need to borrow something you’ve made or they need you to make something to help them.
